The best alpine skiers start their World Cup season on the Rettenbach glacier, which rises high above the city. Traditionally, the women open on Saturday 26 October 2024 with the first giant slalom of the season. On Sunday 27 October 2024, the men take over and crown the event with their own fast run through the blue and red poles.
