Tobogganing is a wonderful activity for families, young people or the elderly. Whether with a feeder cab or after a strenuous approach: a toboggan run is always fun.
In the Ötztal you can choose from a wide variety of toboggan runs. Whether in the front or rear Ötztal; from illuminated night toboggan runs to beautiful natural toboggan runs, everything can be found in the Ötztal.
Tobogganing in Kühtai: Usually the tobogganing excursion can be combined with a cozy stop in a hut or inn. The Hüttengaudi is of course written large here. And of course you can't do without a schnapps to fortify yourself.
Toboggan runs in the Ötztal
Pipurgersee toboggan run near Oetz in the Ötztal.
The hamlet of Piburg belongs to the municipality of Sautens and is sufficiently famous for its beautiful mountain lake, which in summer attracts hikers and friends of cool water.
In winter, tobogganists are attracted to Piburg during the day as well as in the evening, because the track is illuminated until 23:00 and leads downhill to the Piburgersee. The snow-covered mountain peaks are reflected in the frozen lake and numerous inns also provide for the physical well-being.
Haderlehn toboggan run near Sautens in the Ötztal.
From the center of Sautens goes by foot or by toboggan bus to Haderlehn, 1.5 kilometers is the toboggan run long and also suitable for night tobogganing. Refreshment stops are available.
Between 18:00 and 22:00 night tobogganers can toboggan for four hours in the spotlight.

Niederthai is located above Umhausen, there you can make a wonderful tobogganing in the Horlachtal.
2 hours are needed for the hike via the Larstigalm to the Schweinfurter Hütte.
The hut opens in February. The toboggan run measures a whole 7 kilometers and is thus the longest toboggan run in the Ötz.
Tauferberg toboggan run near Niederthai in the Ötz Valley
Niederthai is located above the valley town of Umhausen.
In Niederthai, the Tauferberg toboggan run is located in the district "Lehen".
The start is next to the Horlachtal cross-country ski run. The toboggan run has a length of about 2 kilometers and is lit Tuesday and Thursday for night tobogganers.
PROFESSIONAL NATURAL TOBOGGAN RUN - GRANTAU
Grantau natural toboggan run near Umhausen in the Ötztal - tobogganing on the Grantau professional run in Umhausen.
The Grantau natural toboggan run is located in the municipality of Umhausen at the exit from the main road to Köfels.
On this toboggan run even World Cup races and World Championships are held.
120 meters is the height difference, and the track is 1 kilometer long.
Sledding at the Wurzbergalm in Längenfeld in the Ötztal valley
The Wurzbergalm is located above Winklen, a hamlet of Längenfeld.
In parts, the ascent is quite strenuous and steep.
It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the alp, which is located at an altitude of 1500 meters. But you will be rewarded with a cozy stop and a winding, four-kilometer-long descent.
Brand toboggan run near Längenfeld in the Ötztal.
The hamlet of "Brand" towers majestically on the striking black rock face behind Längenfeld.
The starting point is the Längenfeld church - from there a leisurely walk leads up a gently ascending path and after about an hour you reach your destination.
In Brand you will find several opportunities for a stop before it's back on the toboggan swiftly into the valley.

At the Nisslalm near Gries there are toboggans for rent. Especially pleasant: no traffic. Only snowmobiles are allowed on the track. In 90 minutes, the route can be comfortably mastered. And 5 kilometers of the best toboggan run await you!

Sulztalalm toboggan run near Gries in the Ötztal.
From the valley town of Längenfeld by car or bus to Gries. From there on foot in about 1.5 hours to Sulztalalm at 1900 m. It is 3 km to the hut.

Stablein toboggan run in Vent in the Ötztal valley.
The toboggan run in Vent, which has been in existence since 1997, stretches for a total of 5 kilometers.
You can toboggan especially comfortably in Vent with the double chairlift going up to the starting point. Toboggans can be rented in the village.
Before the descent, a visit to the restaurant at the top station is worthwhile.

Gaislachkogl toboggan run near Sölden in the Ötztal valley.
With its 7.3 km, the toboggan run in Sölden is one of the longest toboggan runs in Austria. Experience 45 minutes of fun as you sled along the toboggan run from the Gaislachkogel middle station down into the valley. The track is well prepared and perfect for families and less experienced skiers. Also look forward to tobogganing fun at night, at the night tobogganing every Wednesday from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. Just take the Gaislachkogelbahn up to the middle station and you're ready to go.

Hochgurgl natural toboggan run in the Ötztal valley.
The three-kilometer-long, winding natural toboggan run leads from the mountain station to the valley station of the Hochgurgl cable car; the ascent can be made comfortably and quickly from Pill on the Hochgurgl cable car.
